This is your standard barrel connector. Barrel connectors come super-handy when you want to power your SH-RPi setup using a standard DC power supply. The screw-in connectors are easy and fast to use both for temporary and permanent installations.
The connector size is a very common one and will likely fit any 12 V DC power supply you have lying around.
