This Waveshare cooling fan attaches on top of the Raspberry Pi 4B or 3B and efficiently cools the CPU and other essential chips. The fan requires a DC 5V power input and can be connected to the provided GPIO riser board, the SH-RPi 5V output or on top of Raspberry Pi GPIO header.
The fan module has a low profile and additional hats can be stacked on the Pi even with that fan installed.
The fan is highly effective in keeping both the Pi CPU temperature and an enclosure interior temperature down. When tested with a Raspberry Pi 4B, SH-RPi and two interface hats in a Medium Enclosure, even in a stress test the maximum CPU temperature settled at 54°C, or 34°C above the ambient.
