Upgrade your Raspberry Pi project with the Waveshare 2-Channel Isolated CAN HAT, providing the computer with an NMEA 2000 interface. This expansion HAT provides a reliable and secure connection to CAN Bus networks and features multiple onboard protection circuits to ensure stable and safe communication.
- MCP2515 CAN controller and SN65HVD230 CAN transceiver
- Power and signal isolation for enhanced safety and stability
- TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode for ESD and transient peak voltage protection
- Compatible with Raspberry Pi series boards with a standard 40-pin GPIO header
- Easy-to-use jumpers to select 3.3V/5V operating voltage and enable/disable 120Ω terminal resistor
- Dimensions: 65 x 56.5 mm (2.56 x 2.22 inches)
The 2-Channel Isolated CAN HAT is designed for use with Raspberry Pi and features a dual-chip solution with MCP2515 and SN65HVD230 for 2-channel CAN communication. The integrated power isolation provides a stable isolated voltage, requiring no additional power supply for the isolated terminal. The onboard digital isolator ensures secure, stable, and interference-free communication.
Please note: For NMEA 2000 compatibility, only one channel should be used due to isolation limitations.
With the Waveshare 2-Channel Isolated CAN HAT, you can easily provide an isolated and compliant NMEA 2000 interface for your Raspberry Pi projects, including SH-RPi and our range of enclosures.
